Where does one start once they have decided to invest in solar panels? To make sure you get the most out of your investment you’ll want to install the most efficient solar panels available.
The highest efficiency solar panel is the panel that can collect more of the suns photons and release more electrons than other panels that are the same size. Obviously this means that you can generate more energy using the same space, thus be more efficient.
Some things to consider before you go out and purchase the most efficient solar technology, are where the panels will be installed, how much room will you need, how much room do you have and what size do the panels need to be.
After you have answered these questions you can be more specific when you’re researching the most efficient solar panel.
Here are a few different types of panels that vary in their ranges of efficiency:
- These panels are made using a single crystal of silicone. The technology used to manufacture these types of panels is more expensive, hence the reason these panels are usually more expensive. If you’re willing to pay a more, then these are the most efficient style of panels available.
- These panels are made from multiple crystals of silicone rather than just one. This process produces solar panels that are very efficient, yet not quite as efficient as Monocrystalline panels. If you’re looking for great panels but you’re not ready to invest a ton of money, these types of panels may be a great option.
- Amorphous panels are produced from non-crystalline silicon, a chemically bonded type of silicone. This style of solar panel can be used for shaded areas and require less sunlight.
Why Solar Panels
When you’re choosing the most efficient solar panels you will want to make sure that the wattage is correct. Doing this will increase the efficiency of your panels and allow them to perform their best all year, improving your alternative energy efficiency.
As I’ve mentioned the cost of these units does vary so it makes sense to research before making your purchase.
One of the most efficient solar panels would have to be the panels made by SunForce. Sunforce is a leading manufacturer and distributor of renewable energy products. Their efficient and innovative designs help provide simple Renewable Energy Solutions to consumers.
Sunforce is a private company that was established in 2005 and markets to retailers worldwide. Having specialized in electric products since 1947, they are the proud manufacturers of some of the most efficient solar panels available.
Building your own solar panels
Building your own solar panels may seem like an impossible task but it isn’t. These days there are a plenty of “Do It Yourself” (DIY) guides that show you step by step the process of building your own solar panels.
Not only is building your own solar panels fun it’s also extremely easy. You would think an advanced piece of electronics like solar panels would be impossible to make with limited skills. At least not without spending a ton of money.
The truth is, that anyone can build their own solar panels even if they have zero building or electrical knowledge. Yeah but it’s going to cost a lot of money right? Not really, you can build a high quality solar panel for less then $200! You will spend a little bit of time learning the process and reviewing the material that is provided in the guide but that time is money in the bank once your panel is up and running, reducing your monthly energy costs.
Now obviously, like anything practice makes perfect. I wouldn’t suggest going out an buying all the material to build enough panels to cover your house. Instead purchase one of these DIY Solar Panel Guides and make a panel or two to power your shed or cabin. After a few practice panels you’ll figure out how to modify the process of building your own solar panels so you can make even better panels for your house, camper, RV, boat or just to hook up at the camp site. If you’re NOT like me and you know a thing or two about carpentry then building your own solar panels will be a snap. Some people that have purchased these DIY Solar Panel Guides have ended up making a living off of building solar panels and then selling them to others. The people buying them are still getting a discount and the people making them are turning a profit. I’m sure the big time solar panel manufacturers just love that. Even if you didn’t want to go to that extent, it would still be cool to be able to make a solar panel or two for a friend or family member. You and I both know how hard it is to shop for gifts for those people, who wouldn’t like a solar panel for Christmas.
Anyways, I’ve reviewed several of these DIY Solar Panel Guides. There are so many great ones out there that it was difficult to figure out which ones to review. After looking at a lot of websites and information on the top programs available I chose three to purchase and review. On a side note: The best Solar panel guides offer a 30 to 60 day money back guarantee, if you’re not happy with the product they refund your money, no questions asked. I thought that was pretty cool, made me feel more at ease with my purchase.
Out of the three DIY Solar Panel Guides that I looked at the one I would recommend for building your own solar panels is the Earth 4 Energy Program (Click here to visit their site). Honestly it was difficult to choose between the top three which guide was the best. You should take into consideration that I chose Earth 4 Energy because I found it the most user friendly for someone like me. That is to say, for someone who can barely use a hammer. If you’re more technically inclined you might prefer a different guide but for people like me Earth 4 Energy was the easiest to understand and follow.
A couple things about the Earth 4 Energy program and what you get when you buy it. The first part of this program teaches you the basics about solar energy, how solar energy is created and all of the materials you’ll need to harness the suns energy. You’ll also get information that explains in detail, how to build your very own solar panel. This section is loaded with information. I would suggest reading it all twice before starting, that is one of the only drawbacks about this product, it can be a little too much information all at once. Just make sure you read through the information a few times to soak it all up.
I’m a huge fan of videos, I learn by seeing so I was happy to see that Earth 4 Energy provided videos to supplement the reading material. These videos cleared some things up for me and they’ll make it virtually impossible for you to screw anything up. Again, there’s a lot of info here, so watch it all first, digest it then apply it. I wouldn’t recommend watching it as you go, but hey it’s your call.
They throw in a ton of other information too about how to mount your solar panels, applying for tax credits (yet another way you’ll save money!), wiring plans and even a calculator that will help you figure out how many solar panels you’ll need to cover the energy needs of your entire house, shop or whatever. They even throw in…well I shouldn’t spoil it, let’s just say I was pretty excited about one of the extra’s they throw into this guide. Visit Earth 4 Energy’s website to learn more about what is included in their DIY Solar Panel Guide!
This DIY Solar Panel Guide comes with a lot of information, like I said almost too much information. If you’re excited to start building your own solar panels you’ll have to remind yourself to calm down and read through all of the material first. I don’t recommend cutting corners here, read everything, watch everything and then get your materials. Other than that this product is spot on, easy to use, easy to understand and I can’t think of anything that its’ missing. If you’re interested in building your own solar panels I highly recommend the Earth 4 Energy Program! Click the link below to learn more about Earth 4 Energy!
